The ASD-250 is a wireless smoke detector providing rapid fire detection for various building types. It operates as a standalone unit (EN 14604 compliant) or integrated into the ABAX 2/ABAX wireless system, where it can trigger alarms in other detectors.
Key features include:
High Sensitivity: Utilizes a photoelectric smoke sensor with a unique Swirl chamber for accelerated detection and a Hexamesh filter to prevent contamination.
Alarm & Diagnostics: Delivers loud acoustic and optical alarms. Includes self-diagnostics for battery and optical chamber status.
Communication: Features AES-encrypted ABAX 2 radio communication with an open-area range up to 2000m.
Power Efficiency: Powered by a CR123A 3V battery with an "ECO" option (ABAX 2) extending life up to four times (2-4 years expected life).
Additional Features: Remotely activated test mode (system integration) and tamper protection.
